Berkshire Conservatives agree the lowest Fire Authority precept increase

Berkshire Fire Authority’s council tax precept has increased by one per cent, the lowest in the country, for the new financial year.

Conservative councillors at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead spearheaded the small increase whilst unions supported charging residents more.

Conservative Victory in Riverside

The Conservative candidate, Judith Diment, has won a resounding victory in the Maidenhead Riverside by election yesterday (10.03.16).

Judith secured 916 votes, 53% of the overall vote share, while the Liberal Democrat candidate received 397, Independent 162, Labour 144 and UKIP 95.
