Sayonara Luxton was born in Goa, then at the age of 21 moved to Dubai to join other members of her family and enjoyed a successful career with Airbus Industries.

In 2007 Sayonara was elected as the local Councillor for Sunningdale ward and is now serving her third term. Sayonara was the Chairman of the Licensing Panel, Vice Chairman for Foster Parenting and Chairman of the Adult Services and Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel and was a member of numerous other committees serving the community.  Sayonara served as Deputy Mayor in 2015-2016.  She was a trustee for the Ascot Charitable Trust for several years helping to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for innumerable community and national charities.

She is now actively supporting the War Horse Memorial to be erected in Ascot, commemorating the 1 million horses that lost their lives during The Great War, with funds raised going to both equine and military charities including both of our Windsor regiments.  She is very proud to have been elected Mayor and looks forward to meeting and helping people and organisations across the Royal Borough.
